God’s voice continually speaks to us the truth that we are his beloved. However, there are so many other voices that exist in our lives and in our world that drown out God’s voice and try to tell us that we are something else, or should pursue something else. Despite the many ways that we leave our ‘home’, our loving Father continues to pursue us, and seeks to wrap us up in his embrace. Whether we squander our inheritance, or have done everything right but are still far from God, we are all beloved prodigals called to return home. Even more than that, we are called to reflect the loving embrace of the Father. Throughout the rest of June we will walk through the Parable of the Prodigal Son, seeking to hear the Father’s voice calling to each of us to find our home in him.
