Lenten Sermon Series – The Question of Jesus

To encounter Jesus is to come face-to-face with one big question that we all must answer.  In all of the New Testament, Jesus asks over three hundred questions, yet he only directly answers three of the questions posed to him.  Jesus asked so many questions to challenge our many assumptions, to lead us to self-reflection and self-examination, and to guide us to deeper truths.  Lent is the season given us as a gift to set aside the many diversions that keep us from realizing our true nature in Christ.  Freed from such diversions, we are then invited to dig into and wrestle with the deep questions that lead us to fuller life in Christ.  Throughout Lent we will wrestle with the question of Jesus by digging into some of the big questions that Jesus asks.
