The early Christian church of the first three centuries grew by leaps and bounds.  But, why?  How?  It may seem surprising to most that the driving force behind the rapid spread of the gospel was patience.  Like yeast in dough, or like a tiny mustard seed, the early church existed as a small, seemingly insignificant, yet very much alive outpost in a noisy world that was sometimes hostile to its life and message.  So, what does the witness of the early church have to teach us today?  What role should the virtue of patience play in our life together as the church in today’s world?  Join us throughout August as we learn to be a patiently fermenting body of Jesus-followers for the sake of the world.
