November Sermon Series “Enough.”
Money has great power in our lives! But, even though we live in one of the most affluent times and cultures in history, we often feel unsuccessful, lacking, unfulfilled, and unhappy. Ignoring the wisdom Scripture and the past when it comes to managing and spending our money, we find ourselves spending tomorrow’s money today in order to have what we hope will satisfy an insatiable desire for more. The result is often not more happiness and satisfaction, but greater stress and anxiety.
Jesus offers us something different. Jesus calls and teaches us to use money wisely; to make it one key to accomplishing our goals, providing for our needs, fulfilling our life purpose, and living in joy. Jesus calls us to follow his example, by following his example of living life with simplicity and generosity.
Join Ozark UMC for Sunday morning worship, November 4 – 25, at 8:30 or 11:00, and for our new sermon series called “Enough.” Based on the book of the same title by United Methodist pastor and writer Adam Hamilton, this series will invite you to discover, or rediscover, the Bible’s wisdom when it comes to prudent financial practices, experiencing contentment, overcoming fear, and discovering joy through simplicity and generosity. It could very well change your life, by helping you change your relationship with money.
