“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” – 2 Corinthians 9:7
Our church lay leadership and Pastor Jacob are extending a challenge to the entire OUMC congregation called the One Day of Giving. What you are being challenged to do is to give 1/365th of your yearly income to the mission and ministry of the church, over and above your regular giving.
As we enter into a new season of ministry in the life of the church, this is one way for each of us to commit to building up our church community by the giving of our gifts for the purpose of strengthening our budget, continuing to expand our yearly ministry, and extending the reach of our witness through outreach and mission. We want to be a church of faithful, active disciples that are making Christ and his kingdom known in our community and beyond.
