Last Words

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”  Matthew 28:18-20

Last words are important.

It’s the end of the earthly journey for Jesus and his disciples.  In just a few moments Jesus will ascend into heaven and the mission will be up to them.  So Jesus gives their final marching orders; go…go everywhere…and as you go everywhere make other disciples.  Baptize them; teach them what you’ve heard from me.  And then, Jesus’ very last words; “Remember…I’m always with you.”

Last words are important.

As we end this “12 Days of Christmas” journey together, I want to say thanks for being part of it. I want to say that I hope these daily Bible verses and words have been helpful.  I want to say that you’re always welcome to join me on the OUMC blog (https://ozarkumc.org/category/blog/).  I want to say that no matter what you face today, this week, this month, in 2014…“Do not be afraid!”

Last words are important.

Most of all I want to say…remember the living Jesus Christ is with you now and will be with you always!  Remember that and live fearlessly!

Pastor Steve
