Elevate Student Ministries is the name of our ministry program focused on children and families of children from birth through high school graduation. Our cirriculum is based on Think Orange, which combines the education at church with reinforcement in the home.
By partnering the Church and the Home, we all share in the responsibility of raising our students to be who God created them to be.
The three components of Elevate Student Ministry are:
Love God
Love Themselves
Love Others
In order for a student to build their faith in God, they must first learn to love God in a way that encompasses their heart, mind, and soul. Once they learn to love God, then they can learn what God has planned for their lives and the unique gifts that God has given each of them.
The next step in a student’s faith journey is realizing that God made them just the way they are, that God loves them, and that God has a purpose for them. Without an understanding of the God who made us and loves us and has gifted each of us according to His purpose, how can we love our neighbor as ourself?
Once a student has learned to love God and to love themself, it should have a profound impact on the way they love others, who God has made in His own image as well. Our love of God and ourself is evident in the way that we love and serve one another.
Elevate Kids (Birth through 6th Grade) Sunday School
Elevate Kids exits to prepare children to be lifelong followers of Christ. Sunday School for Kids takes place at 9:15am Sunday mornings before worship at the same time as Youth and Adult Sunday School. Kids are encouraged to participate in worship with their families and friends at 10:30am. We have activity bags available for the children during Worship that follows the sermon.
Elevate Youth (7th Grade through 12th Grade)
The purpose of Elevate Youth is to help each student grow in their faith by hearing God’s word, asking questions, and learning how to apply it to their daily lives — not just inside the building on Sunday mornings. Youth also meets during the Sunday School hour at 9:15am and are encouraged to participate in worship with their families and friends at 10:30am.
In addition to Sunday nornings, Youth meet on Sunday nights from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. During this time, Youth play games, talk and worship together.
